My life as a storyteller began in the backseat of our family station wagon, a Buick as blue as the Texas sky, with electric windows and a faux-wood side panel – a modern and comfortable ride for the eight-plus hour ride to the beach.As we passed stretches of cotton fields and stopped at dusty antique shops along the way, I chronicled my impressions – along with passages of pre-teen boredom of being stuck in the car with my parents and younger brother – in a small spiral notebook.My recorded observations from the mundane road trips of my childhood laid the foundation for my career as a journalist and shaped my straightforward storytelling style.Even today, I never leave the house without a notebook and a pen.Because there's always a story somewhere.

Targeted Research + Vetting

Searching for candidates means thinking outside of the box – or the Google or AI-assisted search. The research phase requires deep dives and following threads to uncover options that might not be obvious, then vetting each person to ensure their socials are clean and, when requested, conducting full background checks.

Comprehensive Interviews

As an award-winning investigative and news journalist, I’m skilled at interviewing people to uncover their best stories. Beyond the content itself, I listen for what makes each candidate unique. Why is their story interesting? How easily do they share details of their lives? Are they naturally engaging or shy? And most importantly: How will their story resonate with the intended audience?

Client-Ready Presentations

I deliver fully crafted stories for each candidate so the production team and client can “see” how the storyboard for each candidate might be developed. Because my background also includes work in radio and television, my stories naturally unfold in a documentary-like format.
